What is City Farms?

City Farms Markets are a network of community-run farmers markets in New York City that support both urban growers and regional farmers and serve low-income communities. In 2012, there are 22 City Farms Markets, making up around 15% of all farmers markets in New York City.

Each City Farms Market is started and managed by members of their own community who want to bring fresh, affordable food to their neighborhoods. The Network is managed by Just Food, providing member markets with training and resources, networking opportunities, cooking demonstrations by Just Food Community Chefs, network vendor and market insurance, and more.

Benefits are welcome and incentives are available at all City Farms Markets. You may use EBT, FMNP (WIC & Senior) and WIC Fruit & Vegetable Checks. Inquire about Health Bucks or Fresh Connect Checks.
